Steps on How to Create Google Class room
Step One: Navigate to Google Class room Website
Visit the official Google Classroom website by typing classroom.google.com on any browser of your choice or click here.
Step Two: Sign in to Google Classroom
On the Google Classroom Website, you will be expected to sign in using the GSuite login account generated from the IT department of your institution or organisation.
Step Three: Create Classroom
Tap on the plus sign at the top corner of your screen then. tap “Create class”.
Step Three: Class Name
Input the class name that represents the class you wish to tutor online and tap “Create”. There are other optional inputs one could make after adding a classroom name. However, for very meticulous teachers these optional section could also mean alot as it would give more insight to what students would expect from the class. The options include: Class subject and room location for the class.
How to Add New Classroom on Google Classroom
Just as aforementioned, teachers who teach multiple classes find it easy on this platform as it is very moblie and PC friendly. To add new classes are quite simple. Click the plus sign on the top left corner of your screen and type the name of the class you wish to add.
Edit or Archive Classroom
In subsequent ocassions where you don’t wish to create a new classroom because you are done with the curriculum or the particular subject, you could easily rename the classroom so long as you are retaining the same students for the new class.
To rename a classroom: tap on the classroom of your choice, tap on the three vertical buttons next to the class name then, tap “rename”. Same process applies to archiving a classroom.
Note: Whenever you archive a classroom one will not be able to post assignments or announcements on that classroom but, it still remains in existence and very functional.
Access the Students in the Classroom
The student section of the app allow teachers to view through the number of students in their class, add students to the class manually or send the students invitation code to join the classes. However, to join a the google classroom using the code sent to you by your teacher one must have an aready existing google account.
Note: Each classroom code can be found at the left corner of the interface.
The creator of the page dictates how the page is going to run. The creator can decide if the students can drop comments on the page or not.
Create Google Classroom on Android and iPhone
Step one: Download Google Classroom App on your Mobile Device
Navigate to your mobile phone store (Playstore or Apple Store) to download the Google Classroom app then tap install or get to launch in your device if you are using and android or iPhone device respectively.
Step Two: Create Class
Tap the “+” sign on the right top corner of your mobile interface then, tap “create class”.
Step Three: Describe Class
On the Menu input add the name that suites the Class room, input the section and room (althought the later are optional) then tap on “crate at the right top corner of the screen.
